San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club

Back to Clubs

San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby was formed in 2001 through the merger of two Northern California clubs, San Francisco RFC and the Golden Gate Rugby Club. SFGGRC was formed with the intent of creating one of the strongest clubs in the country, and through the course of our short history, we have accomplished that.

SFGG’s men’s team won USARugby’s National Super League title in 2009 and 2011, and the club won USARugby’s inaugural National Elite Cup championship in 2013.

SFGG is committed to developing rugby at multiple levels:

  • Boys & Girls U8/U10/U12
  • Boys Middle School
  • Boys High School. (Frosh/Soph, Silver, and Gold Varsity)
  • Men’s Senors (40+)
  • Men’s D2-Men’s 7’s
